The phrase, “that which does not kill us makes us stronger”, is sometimes attributed to Alexander the Great. It was actually spoken and written by Friedrich Nietzsche, a German philosopher, and not in the English language. I wonder if he knew how to play Skat?! If not, Bill can teach him….
Here is a quick message from Bill regarding his knee surgery. More prayers are welcome. We miss you Bill and hope you heal fast!
From Bill:
I’m home now and doing well at this point in the recuperation phase. The surgery was successful, Kaiser personnel did a great job, and I’m working hard on my exercises. I’ll be using a walker for a while yet, but my rehab guy who came today says I’m doing just fine so far and will soon be getting by with just a cane.
It’s nice to know people are thinking of me. It is well appreciated.
Thanks again,
Bill
