Last night was excellent! We had 20 players rotating on court 8 at Campo di Bocce in Los Gatos. We drank some of Tom’s Zinfandel and ate good food. About half-way through the evening,

Rolando had some announcements to make.

1. With an open slot on our membership line-up, the board selected a candidate to fill in the void. Fred Altomare’s name was selected and after a unanimous vote by the present members, Fred was voted in last night! Fred added ‘…my wife is happy that I’m back in the LGBC scene’. I think we are all happy Fred is back too!

2. This year, each club member will receive a Los Gatos Bocce Club vest! After reviewing the current LGBC branded wardrobe, the decision was made for black fleece vests to be added to the selection of official Los Gatos Bocce Club garb. I think there will be a size survey very soon.

3. Ben Musolf added that the 2012 United States Bocce Federation, Western Sector, West Coast Bocce Club Championships will be held at Campo di Bocce in Livermore September 1-3, 2012. For details, please contact Ben direct at 408.857.0074. Grand Prize is $3000

4….and lastly, Dont forget that the 15th annual Maureen Albanese Valentine’s Day Bocce Tournament will be Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Campo di Bocce of Los Gatos. Stop by and show your support if you’re not already planning on it. Showing your support would mean the world to the Albanese family.
