Attention Bocce Lovers! LGBC Member, Ben from Campo di Bocce has announced the dates and some details for this coming Spring’s Bocce Showdown with a 1st Place Grand Prize Trip for Two to Rome!
If you have anyone in mind who you think would be a good candidate for sponsoring this event, please contact Ben direct with your thoughts and suggestion.
Here below is Ben’s message:
Hello. This is Ben from Campo di Bocce of Livermore. I am putting together a Bocce tournament that will be taking place this spring at Campo di Bocce of Livermore. I thought of you because I felt your business would benefit greatly by the exposure this event will be bringing to the community.
The tournament will take place over a 6 week period, February 18- March 25, 2013. The Bocce tournament is open to the public, therefore the masses will be exposed and there is no limitation as to who can participate, except, Bocce pros as we know them are NOT eligible?
I will be signing up 128 teams of 2, that equals 256 players. The format is very simple. Single elimination! Each participant will be guaranteed one game of Bocce, but the exposure of the event will be posted for over 6 weeks!
Each participant will be given a Participation Card where internal discounts will be given, and I hopeful to get many local community businesses to participate as well, so the participants will frequent their establishments as well. My thoughts are wineries, dry cleaners, other restaurants and bars, hair salons, etc.! The Participation Card will have an unlimited use ability, for the 6 week period.
The best part of this event is the grand prize is Round Trip ticket for two to Rome! I have partnered with the Travel Bug in Downtown Livermore, and we are very excited to start promoting this colossal event! Second prize will be a pair of Vespa Scooters, and third and fourth place will win dinner parties at Campo di Bocce.
This event has the potential of being very large, and my hopes of including the better part of the community starts with this letter. Please consider promoting your business and the sport of Bocce at the same time.
I have included a sponsorship and advertising form, the tournament Logo, a letter explaining the event, as well as a player registration form. If you know of anyone that may be interested in participating, please spread the word or have them call me direct!
Thanks for taking the time to consider this opportunity, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Ciao for now!
